Arachidonic acid is an important omega-6 fatty acid. Cats can’t convert linoleic acid into arachidonic acid like dogs can, so arachidonic acid must be supplied directly in the diet; it is only available in animal-source fats. Important for cell membranes and a healthy skin and coat. Found in flaxseed, fish oil and algae.
